Artistic License

I forgot to ask for David Grant's autograph last night during his art exhibit at CSU's Corn Center, but I think that I may want to get that...on a piece of his work. He displayed six nostalgic pastel's. Created for his capstone project, the paintings represented aspects of alienation and were influenced by his work with middle school students. Very thought-provoking, highly detailed, and eye-catching pieces!

Family and friends enjoyed the exhibit, of course, but Bo Bartlett's surprise visit must have been the highlight of David's night. In his artist's statement, David cited Bo, a Columbus native, as an influence on his own work. Now that is special!
