Old Friends

Makes you wonder what I had just said to Terry...

Actually, we were both commenting on our amazement that we were seated together at the Senior Dinner with our last children -- Will and Mary Frances -- to leave high school. Those babies, who we had walked around the park before their births, and chased around the park afterwards, were launched. Terry's look was probably more about relief/joy/amazement than the shocked expression she seems to be wearing.

The Baby Graduates

Lately in this space I have strayed from my announced area of focus, Instructional Technology and digital collaboration. I've been lasered in on my younger child's activities as he finishes up with high school. There will be plenty of time to get back on track with my life, but for this week I'm all about him.

I'll have to write more of my thoughts of him, his life journey thus far, and my hopes for his future after graduation. I am too exhausted now. But Anna Quindlen sums up much of what I believe in her now famous commencement address to the 1999 graduates of Mount Holyoke.
