What's Up with the Plant Pics?

Why post pictures of plants on a blog for more virtual subjects? I don't know. I like plants. Also, I am easily distracted. Blogger prerogative.

My father, a retired stock broker and banker with a degree in ornamental horticulture,inspired me with the beautiful yards and gardens he designed and maintains for fun. When he was young, my grandmother frequently had him or her gardener plant/dig up/replant/dig up/move/replant camellias and azaleas in her yard. So, though I do not share their gardening talent, I do appreciate gardens and nature.

Plants, unlike my family, make easy photography subjects: usually still, available, and compliant. And they never need their fingernails cleaned or hair combed. In December, after I finish my degree (fingers crossed), I plan to reward myself with a nice camera and photography lessons. I hope that my brother-in-law will mentor me. For now, I'm making do with a Canon PowerShot (7.1 megapixels) borrowed from my son.
